Western Front presents TOQUE on December 6 & 7, 2013. The annual fundraiser and craft sale returns for the Western Front’s 40th Anniversary with an exciting showcase of artists, designers and artisans.

Held in the newly renovated Luxe Hall, the annual fundraiser is a longstanding Western Front tradition, initiated by Western Front founding members and friends almost 40 years ago.

TOQUE offers a unique selection of vendors with goods ranging from publications, textiles and ceramics to jewellery and tasty treats. Prices range from $5 to $500. Vancouver-based artist Arvo Leo is creating this year’s limited-edition tea towels, available for sale at the event.

Renowned as one of Vancouver’s most well-curated craft fairs, TOQUE has been cited as ‘the most artful of all the artisan fairs’ (Georgia Straight) and ‘a true artists’ fair with a solidly local feel’ (Scout Magazine).

Friday evening features a reception with celebratory cocktails and barbecue on the back deck. The craft fair continues Saturday with new extended hours.

As part of our annual holiday membership drive, one lucky member will take home a brand new bicycle from Whoa! Nellie Bikes. So become a member of Western Front at TOQUE for your chance to win!

Proceeds from TOQUE directly support Western Front’s year-round programming in Exhibitions, New Music and Media Arts.

paperbacknote rebinds used paper back book covers and turns them into notebooks.
Every paperbacknote notebook is made with an original cover from a used paper back novel culled from thrift shops, garage sales, and boxes in basements and attics. At first glance, these notebooks appear as though they are real paper back novels. Only when you open them up do you discover the true secret inside. They are blank! At least until you fill them with your own thoughts, stories, pictures, and words.
A perfect gift for an aspiring writer, note taker, list maker, journal writer, or anyone who wants to keep their notes under cover.
